October 19, the delegation led by Thomas Dörflinger, the Secretary of State, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, visited ZGC Group. The delegation toured the Group’s exhibition hall and gained an in-depth understanding of its innovation service system and key industrial priorities. Zhou Rui, Deputy General Manager of ZGC Group and Chairman of ZGC International, together with representatives of ZGC International, met with the delegation and introduced the Group’s achievements in such areas as artificial intelligence, healthcare, semiconductors, new energy and new materials, as well as the operation of the German Innovation Center in Heidelberg.
Thomas Dörflinger noted that China is an important trading partner of Baden-Württemberg with close ties in technology-intensive industries. Baden-Württemberg is home to the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) in Heilbronn and has strong industrial foundations in artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, life sciences and energy technologies, supported by a well-developed startup ecosystem. He expressed the hope that more technology companies served by ZGC Group could expand into Baden-Württemberg and leverage the state’s research and industrial resources to further develop their presence in the European market.
Both sides agreed that the science, technology and industrial ecosystems of the two regions are highly complementary. Building on the existing foundation of cooperation, both parties will maintain close communication, create stronger links between enterprises and research institutions, promote the two-way flow of technology, talent and other innovation resources, advance practical cooperation, and jointly foster an open and mutually beneficial environment for science and technology innovation.
